Changes are coming to Floyd Medical Center here in Cherokee County.

On Tuesday morning, WEIS Radio welcomed Eric Ellis, Chairman of the Cherokee County Healthcare Authority along with David Early, Administrator at Floyd-Cherokee Medical Center to the studios to discuss those changes.

Early talked about the most recent ‘strategic partnership’ with Atrium Health Services;

What does this mean for Cherokee County? –

The partnership with Floyd Health Services in Cherokee County has proven to be beneficial those that visited the emergency room or for those that visit a doctor regularly.

Early said that some of the most recent upgrades at Floyd-Cherokee Medical Center include the addition of a state of the art 64 slice CT scanner, replacing a 16 slice CT scanner.
