Etowah County Arson Task Force Investigating A Fire That Destroyed The Home Roy Moore Accuser

The Etowah County Arson Task Force and Etowah County Sheriff’s investigators are looking into a recent house fire, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

An investigation is being conducted into a fire that occurred at 1166 Lake Mary Louise Road in Gadsden on Wednesday.

The home belongs to Tina Johnson, who accused former U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore of groping her, officials say they do not believe it is related to the Moore allegations.

Natalie Barton, public information officer with the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department, said that officials are speaking with a person of interest and that the ongoing investigation “does not lead us to believe that the fire is in any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him.”

Officials are not saying at this time how the fire started, only that it started in the back of the home.

More details will be released when warrants are obtained.
