A 32 year old Altoona man is being held in the Etowah County Jail on $100,000 a cash bond, after being accused of sexually abusing a seven year old girl.
Jerimiah Robert Conley stands charged with one count of first-degree rape and one count of sex abuse of a child under 12 years of age, and a misdemeanor count of displaying material which is harmful to minors. Conley allegedly raped and sexually abused the victim multiple times and showed her pornographic images. The incidents had occurred at a residence in Altoona and were reported by family member.
Sheriff Todd Entrekin thanked the James M. Barrie Center, the Etowah County Department of Human Resources and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force for their help with the investigation of the case.
