Ex-Hammondville Police Chief Arrested on Insurance Fraud Charge

Fuller UpFormer Hammondville Police Chief Thomas Fuller, age 62 has been arrested in connection with a house fire which occurred in DeKalb County late last year (2014).

Both he and 47 year old Glenn Fuller have been charged with Insurance Fraud 1st Degree; the two are not related, however, they did reside together in Valley Head at that time – and, both had staying together in Tallassee, Alabama.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said, on April 18th, State Fire Marshal Ray Cumby and the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office had warrants to search a residence in Tallassee as part of an on-going investigation in Valley Head.

The arrest of the pair was in connection with a house fire at 1355 County Road 664 taking place last October 18th.

Thomas Fuller had also been previously employed as a police officer in Elmore County.

The investigation into the matter continues.

Both men remain in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
