Cherokee County residents are encouraged to get out and exercise their right to vote during today’s General Election.
In addition to the Presidential Race, there are a number of hotly contested local races – such as the race between current Cherokee County Superintendent Mitchell Guice, and opponent Mike Welsh; incumbent Marcie Foster is facing a challenge from Jennifer Mackey for County Commissioner in District 3, while on the school board, incumbents Lynn Rochester, Seat #1, and Mark Gossett, Seat #2, are facing Kathy Mobbs and Derrick Wheeler respectively.
There are some very important amendments affecting Cherokee County on the ballot; those being 3, 4 and 14.
We urge everyone to take the time to cast your ballot today – polls are open from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
