Family Seeking Assistance Following House Fire On County Road 44 In Cedar Bluff

A family who lost everything in a house fire on County Road 44 in Cedar Bluff on Friday evening is asking for assistance. Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville and Centre Fire Departments responded to the fire just after 5:00 p.m. that evening. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the home already heavily involved in flames.

All the occupants of the home were able to safely get out but according to Tessa Steele who lived at the home the family lost some animals in the fire one of which was her service dog.

Cedar Bluff Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Sprayberry told WEIS Radio News that Cherokee County Fire/Arson Investigator Leigha Blake was called to the scene and that at this time there is an active investigation into the cause.
