What began as “Howard Finster Day” back in 1992 has grown every year – now attracting talent and visitors from across the country.

Howard Finster passed away in 2001 at the age of 84, but not before creating a body of work that placed him at the forefront of folk and outsider art.

He was a longtime resident of Chattooga County, and his work has been featured on many album covers, placed in museums and included in the collection of the Library of Congress.
