Fire Truck Stolen From The Gaylesville Fire Department Recovered, Several Other Items Still Missing

A stolen Fire Truck was recovered in a field off of Highway 68 in Gaylesville on Sunday afternoon.

Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver said that someone unlawfully entered the Gaylesville Fire Department over the weekend and stole a 2000 Ford F250 brush truck.

The truck was discovered abandoned on Sunday by a property owner in a field in Gaylesville.

Deputies responded to the Fire Department and the location of the brush truck to process it for fingerprints. A stolen chainsaw and fire radio were also recovered.

Several other items also stolen during the burglary are still missing, including a Honda generator, 2 Husky chainsaws, 2 Husky backpack blowers, and flashlights.
