Firefighters Battle Three Separate Structure Fires on Monday

County Road 383 Fire

Cherokee County firefighters had a rough start to this week – as they battled three separate structure fires on Monday.

Units with the Leesburg Sand Rock and Tucker’s Chapel departments responded to the first fire at a location on County Road 383 – following that, a short time later, there was a mobile home fire on County Road 108 in Leesburg with firefighters from Leesburg, Sand Rock and Centre responding.  Leesburg Police and Co-op crews also responded to the scene.

No one was hurt at either location and both fires remain under investigation.

We also have reports of a barn fire occurring overnight; however, as of yet, we’ve been able to gather very little information on that fire.

We’ll have more as it becomes available.
