Firefighters responded to a structure fire on East Chattooga Drive in Cedar Bluff at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
They arrived on scene to find the home heavily engulfed in flames. It appears that there was no one at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville and Centre Fire units along with Floyd EMS and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office responded. Cherokee Electric crews also responded due there still being power at the location.
The cause of the fire in unknown at this time. A Cherokee County Fire/Arson Investigator was called to the scene.
