Firefighters Respond To Chicken House Fire

Several fire departments were called to the scene of multiple chicken houses being on fire at a location on County Road 75 just after midnight Sunday.

The Cedar Bluff, Tucker’s Chapel and Gaylesville Departments responded to the scene and found at least three chicken houses heavily engulfed in flames. 

Additional units from Sand Rock and Broomtown Fire Departments were requested to provide assistance with tanker trucks. The Cherokee County Emergency Agency also responded to provide support for a rehab station. 

Firefighters remained on scene for around four hours. 

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
