A home located behind St. Mary’s Church off of Main Street in Centre suffered significant damage following a fire on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters with the Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg Departments responded to the scene after Centre Fire Chief Will Gardner noticed the fire while traveling down Main Street.
It appears that no one was injured and the exact cause of the fire is not known at this time. Centre Police and Cherokee Electric Crews also responded to the location.
