The movie has The Rock playing Mitch Buchannon — the role once played by David Hasselhoff in the series of the same name. A buff, by-the-books lifeguard, Johnson’s character butts heads with a brash new recruit, played by a pumped-up Zac Efron. The pair uncover a local criminal plot fronted by none other than Priyanka Chopra’s character — who is barely seen in this sneak peek.
The movie also stars Alexandra Daddario, who played Johnson’s dad in San Andreas, as well as Kelly Rohrbach — who’s described as looking as if, “she’s always running in slo-mo.”
Jon Bass and Hannibal Buress also star in the action comedy, set to hit theaters May 26.
