Five Arrested on Controlled Substance Charges in Cherokee County

A total of five individuals were arrested on Controlled Substance charges over the weekend in Cherokee County.

Saturday Misty Lea Culpepper, age 36; Terry Vernon Ogles, 52 and Kristen Rene Abromitis, age 37 – all of Centre – and Benjamin Lee Johnson age 36 from Lafayette, Georgia were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Abromitis was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and DUI/Controlled Substance, meanwhile Johnson was charged with Tampering with Evidence and Attempting to Elude.  Culpepper and Ogles remain jailed on $3,000 bond each; and Johnson is being held on bond set at $5,500 while Abromitis was released after making bond of $4,000.

Following those four arrests on Saturday James Brian Middleton age 50 from Ft. Oglethorpe Georgia was arrested, and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, early Sunday morning.  Middleton was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 8:00am where he remains with bond set at $2,500.
