Five Arrested on Drug Charges / Marijuana Found in Container of Baby Formula

Three adults and two juveniles were arrested after Gadsden Police Officers found marijuana and prescription pills inside an apartment in the 2200 block of White Avenue. According to a police report officers arrived to find a group of people exhibiting signs of intoxication and of marijuana use.

A search of that premises soon turned up the illegal stash – including marijuana and prescription pills which had been hidden in a container of baby formula.

BusbyThose arrested at the scene included Brandon Busby, age 19 who was charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana / 18 year old Akiem Williams – charged with drug possession, unlawful possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor charge of possession of salvia / and Gregory Taylor, also 18 who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams, AkeemBusby was later released on $1,000 bond; Taylor was released on $2,000 bond and Williams is in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $4,500.

Taylor, GregoryTwo juveniles were also arrested – and the Department of Human Resources removed an infant, under a year old, from the home.

Police say it’s likely that warrants will be filed on the child’s mother.
