Three adults and two juveniles were arrested after Gadsden Police Officers found marijuana and prescription pills inside an apartment in the 2200 block of White Avenue. According to a police report officers arrived to find a group of people exhibiting signs of intoxication and of marijuana use.
A search of that premises soon turned up the illegal stash – including marijuana and prescription pills which had been hidden in a container of baby formula.
Those arrested at the scene included Brandon Busby, age 19 who was charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana / 18 year old Akiem Williams – charged with drug possession, unlawful possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor charge of possession of salvia / and Gregory Taylor, also 18 who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Busby was later released on $1,000 bond; Taylor was released on $2,000 bond and Williams is in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $4,500.
Two juveniles were also arrested – and the Department of Human Resources removed an infant, under a year old, from the home.
Police say it’s likely that warrants will be filed on the child’s mother.
