Five Cherokee County Career & Tech Students Sign Letters Of Intent For Technical Education At Wallace State

As part of National Career & Technical Signing Day, five Cherokee County Career & Tech students signed letters at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville on Thursday morning.

During the ceremony held at the Bailey Center on the Wallace State Campus, President Vickie Karolwics spoke briefly about the importance of Technical Education

Wallace State Dean Jimmy Hodges also offered some words of encouragement for the students embarking on their new journey

Among the over 30 students that signed their letters, five of those were students at the Cherokee County Career & Technology Center and sat under the instruction of Keith Tolbert who is now an Instructor at Wallace.

Those students included;

  • Makayal Chandler, Cherokee County High School – Mechatronics
  • Dawson Johnson, Cherokee County High School – Mechatronics
  • Riley Ashley, Sand Rock High School – Mechatronics
  • Ryan Terry, Spring Garden – Mechatronics
  • Josh Adams, Cherokee County High School – Diesel Technology
