Alabama State Troopers worked two separate accidents in Cherokee County Tuesday – with no one being injured in the first and a total of five people being hurt in the second.

There was a single-vehicle crash on County Road 7 approximately a mile south of Centre, at 4:30am, involving a 2010 Ford being driven by 24 year old Kyle McKissick of Collinsville.

McKissick, fortunately, was unhurt in the mishap.

The second accident occurred just before 6:30pm on County Road 91 about six miles north of Gaylesville involving a 2009 Nissan driven by 46 year old Stacy Kiser of Cedar Bluff and a 2005 Chevy driven by 34 year old Casey Jennings of Gaylesville.

Both Kiser and Jennings were listed on the accident report as being injured.

Also listed as being injured was a passenger in the Kiser vehicle, Chris Miles, along with two passengers in the Jennings vehicle, identified as Ricky Newsome and Bryson Carroll.

According to a family member – there were two other occupants in the Jennings vehicle that were injured as well. Kryten Carroll who received stitches, a broken nose and other injuries and Amanda Jennings who had a knee injury. Both were apparently taken to Floyd Medical Center in Rome for treatment.

The family member also said that Rickey Newsome wasn’t actually taken for treatment, and was merely shaken up
