Flora Mae Thompson, age 79 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, February 12th at her residence.

Funeral services will be 1:PM Friday, February 15th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Matt Rose officiating; burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Thursday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Alex Thompson, Rashaun Kelly, Brandon Thompson, Stacy Prater, Trey Mullins, Shawn Blount, Keith Law, Jody Chandler.

Survivors include sons, Tommy (Jill) Thompson of Wedowee, T.C. Thompson of Cedar Bluff, Billy Joe (Wanda) Thompson of Carrolton, GA; daughters, Shelia Jane Law of Marietta, GA, Sherry Ann Mays of Cedar Bluff, Felicia Thompson of Marietta, GA;  3 golden children, Jennifer (Shawn) Blount of Douglasville, GA, Crystal (Trey) Mullins of Centre, Marcus (Brandi) Thompson of Acworth, GA; sisters, Diane Hudgins Prater of Summerville, GA, Shirley Wells of Rome, GA; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ned Thompson.

Mrs. Thompson was a native of Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Lemuel Minus and Flora Jane Bryant Atkins and was of the Baptist faith.
