Floyd Against Drug (FAD) Is Unveiling Its Newest Project August 13

The interior of this 26’ trailer is outfitted to represent a teenager’s bedroom and is filled with drug paraphernalia showing parents how to spot the use of illegal drugs and where potential hiding places are located. Board President, Ansley Silvers had this to say about the Drug Buster Trailer:

“I am so proud of the work our Board of Directors and Supporters have put into the development of our mobile educational center. They have recruited volunteers, donations. Many many hours have been devoted to not only the planning stages but the actual manual labor in the development of this project. This innovative educational resource is going to reinforce our efforts in building and keeping drug free communities in Floyd County and Northwest Georgia.”

“We have worked with the Floyd county sheriff’s office to develop what we believe will be an amazing tool for parents, educators, and adults in general” said the Executive Director, Dale Styers. Ms. Styers continued “By providing this kind of hands on information we hope to make a real impact on the growing opioid epidemic in our area.”
