Floyd Cherokee Medical Center Introduces New “Live Well Cherokee!” Program

Floyd Cherokee Medical Center is pleased to introduce a brand new program to the area in the form of a community engagement initiative called Live Well Cherokee!  That program is designed to focus on improving overall health and wellness – Public Relations Manager Dan Bevels, tells us more:

Basically the Live Well Cherokee message is built around four simple messages – get active; eat better; break old habits; and start new ones.

Bevels, along with Floyd Medical Vice-President of Operations David Early, and the Captain of Operations for Floyd Cherokee EMS, Andy Fairel – stopped by the WEIS Radio studios on Thursday to discuss that new initiative, and a special FREE community training event being hosted by Cherokee Medical Center later this month:

Again, the class is FREE of charge and bear in mind, seating is limited:

The morning class has already filled up, however due to the demand a second class has now been added, running from 12:00noon – 2:30pm.  You can also register by calling (706) 509-3820 Extension 3 to find out.

Floyd has invested more than one million dollars to renovations and improvements to their ER, which has expanded from four to seven exam rooms, all of which are now private; there is also a new triage room, a larger waiting area, a new digital imaging suite and patients are seen by physicians from Apollo MD – the same physician group that treats patients at Floyd and Polk.
