The Floyd County Board of Elections voted on Thursday, to terminate Robert Brady as Chief Elections Clerk.
The board first voted to reprimand Brady for what they termed “…repeated failure to meet performance objectives.” Then, because it was his second reprimand in six months – Brady was fired. Earlier in the week, it was revealed that close to 2,600 votes which had not been reported election night had been discovered during the hand recount of the presidential election. Brady was also reprimanded back in August, for an exchange he had with a citizen during a board meeting.
The Elections Board did not comment further on the action during Thursday’s meeting.
