A tragic farm accident claimed the life of a northwest Georgia man over the weekend.
According to Deputy Floyd County Coroner Brent Whatley – Joseph Hunter Ricks, age 21 of a Ward Mountain Road address was bush hogging a field near the intersection of Highway 140 and Highway 53 when he slipped off the bush hog and was run over – receiving fatal injuries.
The accident occurred Saturday afternoon around 12:30.
