Former Employee Accused of Stealing $250,000+ From West Rome Animal Clinic

The former Practice Manager for the West Rome Animal Clinic, Meleah Beth Landers, age 40, was jailed this week after being accused of stealing over $250,000 from her employer.

The thefts allegedly began back in 2010 and continued until October of this year (2017). Dr. Dan Pate, a veterinarian and the owner of the clinic said the investigation was launched due to a “significant” amount of money being unaccounted for.  This came after a drug company called and told him that his clinic owed in excess of $100,000 in September.  Landers stands charged with felony Theft by Taking.
