WALNUT GROVE – Sand Rock sophomore pitcher Jadyn Foster had herself a softball night to remember Thursday at West End of Walnut Grove.
Not only did she pick up her 600th career strikeout, but Foster also went a combined 6-for-7 with two home runs, two doubles, two walks, six runs and eight RBIs to lead the Lady Wildcats to a doubleheader sweep. The scores were 13-0 in five innings and 20-2 in four innings.

In the first game, Maggie Hester had a perfect performance at the plate. She went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double, two runs and four RBIs. Rylin St. Clair was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs. Foster went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Lindsey Chambers contributed a pair of hits and a RBI.

Maggie Tinsley homered and drove in two runs. Katelyn St. Clair doubled, scored a run and had a RBI. Sherina Foster added a hit, a run and a RBI. EllaGrace Hood had a hit and a RBI. Sammi Parker posted a hit and two runs. Briley Knight scored two runs.

Jadyn Foster picked up the win after working four innings. She surrendered a hit and a walk with eight strikeouts.

In the second game, Jadyn Foster was 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, a walk, four runs and five RBIs. Katelyn St. Clair went 3-for-4 with a homer, two doubles, a walk, three runs and three RBIs. Sherina Foster collected a home run, a double, a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Lacey Barnette was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and a RBI. Rylin St. Clair had a pair of hits, a walk, two runs and a RBI.

Hood homered, scored twice and drove in two runs. Briley Knight contributed a hit, a run and two RBIs. Tinsley tallied a hit and two runs. Parker finished with a hit and scored a run.

Hood picked up the win after working two innings. She didn’t surrender a hit or a run. She walked one and had a pair of strikeouts.

Sand Rock plays on Friday night in the Lady Tiger Classic at Oxford Lake. The Lady Wildcats take on Ragland at 7:30 p.m., then battle DAR at 8:45 p.m.
