Four Arrested on Drug Charges Tuesday

Four people including two from northwest Georgia were arrested on drug charges Tuesday in Cherokee County.

Vester Lee Randolph 51 of Leesburg was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and Failure to Appear on prior charges of seven counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and Escape 1st and 2nd Degree.

19 year old Centre resident Izaiah Lashun Hendrix was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

John Dallas Ivey, 38, and Warren Dennon Shannon, 31, both from Cedartown, Georgia, were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ivey was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and with Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Driving on a Suspended License.

Randolph was booked into jail just before 3:00pm, Hendrix just prior to 2:00pm meanwhile Ivey was booked in at around 11:50pm and Shannon at 11:50am – according to jail records.

Shannon made bail on the local charges which had been set at $3,000 – he currently awaits extradition back to Georgia on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant.

Randolph, Hendrix and Ivey remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center with bond for Hendrix set at $3,000.  Randolph and Ivey still await setting of bond.
