Four Arrested, Two Charged With Attempted Murder Following Fight In Gadsden

arrestFour people are in Etowah County Jail – two charged with attempted murder – today following an altercation Thursday night at Emma Sansom Homes.

According to police reports, officers responded to an altercation at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of White Avenue, Apt. 8. Inside, they found a victim of a stabbing, Kidd Precious, 19, of Hill Avenue. Precious had several stab wounds in the back.

Officers also responded to a call in the 2200 block of Hill Avenue involving another person injured at the White Avenue incident. Police said Cora Chasity Rice, 21, of White Avenue, had cuts on her chest and had been struck in the head with a baseball bat, as well as beaten.

Precious was taken to Riverview Regional Medical Center, while Rice was treated and released from Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Rice told investigators the altercation was an “ongoing argument that got out of hand.”
Police arrested Naudia Najavia Croft, 19, and Cherissa Huntley, 41, charging both with attempted murder.

In addition, Shundrael Quinshae Croft, 21, and Derrick Lashun Ray, 24, were both charged with first degree assault. All are being held in the Etowah County Jail without bond.

Police are still investigating.
