Four Gadsden Men Arrested on Armed Robbery Charge in Georgia

Gadsden - Trion Robbery Suspects

Four Gadsden men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery attempt, taking place just across the state line in Chattooga County, Georgia late Tuesday night.

Trion Police Officers were dispatched to the Express Inn in response to that report and upon their arrival, they spoke with the owner of the business, who said that two black males had entered the office brandishing a firearm.

The owner – who fortunately was protected behind safety glass – then ran into another portion of the building and dialed 9-1-1.

A short time later, Trion Police Officers pulled over a suspicious vehicle, and found two suspects believed to be associated with the incident; two additional suspects were soon located at the Wal-Mart in Pennville by Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Investigators were able to locate the firearm used in the attempted robbery.

39 year old Frederick Daniel Holt, Jr., 20 year old Lavail Chance Chapple, Johnny Ray Sears, 33 / and Larry James Poole, age 19 – all of Gadsden, were arrested and charged with armed robbery.
