Four individuals have been arrested after DeKalb County Investigators working on tip line information stopped a suspicious vehicle on County Road 1983. A search of the occupants and vehicle turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia.

According to Sheriff Jimmy Harris a further search of the residence uncovered additional drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Officers arrested 26 year old Jonathan Wade Elders of Rainsville, Kendra Culpepper age 25 of Fort Payne, Brandon Wesley Elders age 20 of Rainsville and Justin William Downing age 31 of Rainsville.

All four are charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspects were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where they await bond.

Harris states “this is another case of people in the community being observant and getting information to us about suspicious activity. These arrests are a direct result of citizen involvement.”
