Four members of the Gadsden State Community College volleyball team have received Alabama Community College Conference Region XXII honors. 

Lauren Butler of Huntsville and Devonna Taylor of Jacksonville were named to the All-Region First Team.  Megan Butler of Huntsville and C.J. Payton of Oxford were both named to the All-Region Second Team. 

The Lady Cardinals finished second place in the state tournament and completed the season with a 27-7 record.  They will now advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Casper, Wyo.  Nov. 21-23. 

Mike Cancilla, Gadsden State athletic director, stated, “Our coaching staff continues to recruit highly talented players who represent Gadsden State not only on the court but in the classroom.” 

The Lady Cardinals are coached by Angie Sanders and Connie Clark.
