We had a report of a four-vehicle accident taking place at the intersection of Highway 411 and 68 in Leesburg, at the red light. Early reports indicated that no one was hurt in the mishap – one power pole was reportedly struck, and left leaning, in connection with the wreck.
Leesburg Police, both Centre and Leesburg Fire Department units, Floyd EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad were all dispatched to the scene.
We’ll have more information as it becomes available – it’s unclear at this time exactly what led to the mishap, which took place at approximately 6:40am.
Motorists should slow done and exercise caution or, if possible, avoid that area for a short time.
