A 36 year old Ft Payne man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Friday on charges of theft by receiving stolen property and theft by deception. According to arrest warrants, Ferdinand Dewight Walker brought a stolen GMC C-1500 truck into Floyd County in January of this year. The truck was reported stolen out of Ft Payne.
Walker attempted to falsely obtain registration on the vehicle at the Floyd County tag office and then sold the vehicle to an unsuspecting buyer for $500.
