A DeKalb County man was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
According to information in a News Release issued by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Officer Trooper Curtis Summerville 61 year old Jack Shane Gardner of a Ft Payne address was killed when the 2012 Harley Davidson he was operating, left the road and struck a fence during the early morning hours of Saturday (October 19th).
The report indicated that the crash took place approximately a mile north of Collinsville on DeKalb County 51 around 3:00am. Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
