Ft Payne Teenager Charged with Making Terrorist Threat

A Ft Payne teenager has been arrested, and charged with making a terrorist threat via Snap Chat.  An investigation was launched after the Ft Payne Police Department School Resource Officer, Sergeant Matt Wilson, received information that an 18 year old, identified as Tomas Jacinto Tomas, had posted a threatening message, alarming students in the Ft Payne School System.

Tomas was located and interviewed by investigators with the Ft Payne Police Department – and was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.

Jacinto, who is a former student at Ft Payne High School, was taken into custody and placed in the Ft Payne City Jail prior to being transferred to the DeKalb County Detention Center.

His bond has been set at $10,000.
