Funeral services have been announced for Jackson County EMA Director Felix Jackson who passed away unexpectedly on Monday.

The Jackson County EMA issued a statement on their Facebook page Tuesday saying:  “Felix felt personally responsible for the safety of the 53,000 residents of Jackson County – and he worked tirelessly to do what was best for them.  Please keep his family in your prayers over the coming days.”

EMA officials say Jackson suffered a medical emergency on Monday night, and passed away around 10:00.  He was only 47 years old.

Celebration of Life services will be this Saturday (October 26th) at 12:00 noon at Stevenson Middle School, 701 Kentucky Avenue in Stevenson, with viewing by family and friends from 11:00 – 11:45am.
