Gadsden Business Owner Pleads Guilty to Two Charges

McDanielAccording to the website al.com – the Gadsden Times is reporting that a Gadsden business owner has pled guilty to the charges of Aggravated Child Abuse, and a Violation of the State Computer Crime Act.

Bryan Keith McDaniel, owner of the Shoe Sanctuary on Broad Street, has been sentenced to 20 years on the child abuse plea and 10 years on the computer crime charge.

According to that report McDaniel will serve in community corrections rather than going to prison; he will be restricted from having any unsupervised contact with children or contact with his victim.

That computer crime charge was associated with McDaniel’s time working at Hick’s Family Shoes – which closed last year.

McDaniel’s attorney says he will continue to operate his store.

According to the Etowah County DA’s Office the settlement was requested and approved by the victim’s in those cases.
