Gadsden Man Arrested On Drug Trafficking And Firearms Charges

A Gadsden man has been arrested on a number of drug related charges.

Commander Randall Clifton says that 39 year old Anthony Cornelius Foster of Gadsden is charged with Drug Trafficking, two counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Pistol by a Violent Felon.

On Wednesday June 19, 2019 Agents executed a search warrant at a business on U.S. Highway 411 in Gadsden. Agents found approximately 20 grams of suspected heroin, a quantity of suspected meth, approximately $720 in U.S. Currency, and four (4) handguns.

Foster was arrested and is being held in the Etowah County Jail on a $200,000 surety bond. Foster was out of jail and on state probation when Agents arrested him.

This investigation is still ongoing and the subjects could face additional state and federal charges related to the firearm and drugs seized.

The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit, Gadsden Police Department, Alabama National Guard Counterdrug Program, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force participated in the case.
