Gadsden Man Behind Bars Following High Speed Chase

Meadows 1A 44 year old Gadsden man is behind bars – after a high speed chase across Etowah County on Thursday morning.

According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, Scott Mckinly Meadows failed to pull over for a traffic stop on Tabor Road just after 8:00am. The pursuit ended soon thereafter near mile marker 203 on I-59; during that chase, deputies witnessed the driver tossing a small object out the window.

Investigators were able to recover drug paraphernalia as evidence.

Meadows was driving on a revoked license – and had a failure to appear warrant for traffic violations out of Attalla.

He was transported to the Etowah County Detention Center.

Additional charges are reportedly forthcoming.
