Gadsden Police are investigating a report of the attempted robbery of an individual, while he was at a convenience store located at the intersection of 23rd Street and Forrest Avenue.
According to that complaint a 21 year old West Gadsden resident said a man tried to rob him just after 10:30pm, after he had walked back to his vehicle upon leaving the store.
He said that he was approached by a young male armed with what appeared to be an assault rifle, demanding money – however, the victim managed to put his car into gear and he fled the parking lot without the gunman getting anything.
The investigation into the matter continues.
