On Tuesday, June 9th, the Gadsden Museum of Art will re-open to the public using proper social distancing procedures.

The wearing of mask is encouraged and hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building. Galleries will be open at half capacity.

Currently on display at the museum is photography by Ken Boyd, paintings by Janna Phillips, and mixed-media sculpture by Natalie Harrison. Ken Boyd’s show is titled, “Visual Presentation,” and depicts locomotives and nearby architecture. Janna Phillips’ “Cycles and Reflections” is a collection of painted landscapes where visitors can ponder the reflections in a hands-on capacity. In “Covered,” Natalie Harrison’s mound paintings protrude into the viewer’s space in a captivating mix of texture and color. Upcoming in the main gallery is “From my Window” by Helen DeRamus.
