Gadsden Pair Arrested on Drug Charges

Two Gadsden residents have been arrested on drug charges, following an investigation that spanned two-months; that, according to the news release issued Monday by Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Commander Randall Johnson and Deputy Commander Phil Sims.  Both 23 year old Joshua Green, and 21 year old Candace Phan, are charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

Agents executed a search warrant in the Coates Bend area, at a home on Macedonia Road in Gadsden back on April 13th and during a search of the premises located some 350 grams of methamphetamine along with more than $16,000 ($16,361.00) in cash. 

Reportedly, the investigation is on-going and additional charges could be forthcoming.

Green and Phan currently remain in the Etowah County Detention Center, with each having a cash bond of $50,000 on their respective trafficking charge. 

Green is also currently on probation for a prior drug charge.
