The Gadsden Police Department is asking for the Public’s assistance in identifying a suspect or suspects in a double homicide that occurred early Saturday morning.
According to a post on the Gadsden PD Facebook page:
At around 12:32 am, two men were murdered on the Meighan Bridge, close to the intersection of Hood Ave.
An unknown vehicle occupied by unknown assailants fired into a Burgundy Nissan Stanza being driven by the victims.
The victims have been identified as 53-year-old Billy Baker and 35-year-old Jobari Player, both of Gadsden.
The Police Department believes that there are several witnesses to this incident and are asking those witnesses to contact the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at (256)-549-4531 or (256)-549-4500.
