The investigation into a rather “unusual” robbery in Etowah County continues.
The victim told Gadsden Police, that after cashing a check at the South 7th Street location of Wells Fargo, he saw a friend who offered him a ride.
He stated that when he got into the vehicle he then noticed another man, who he knew only as “Brewster”, already sitting in the passenger seat.
After the vehicle arrived at the corner of North 9th Street and 4th Avenue – both passengers got out and that’s when “Brewster” asked the victim how much his check was for.
The man told him it was none of his business at which point the suspect pulled a gun on the victim and took the cash, which amounted to $733, and fled down North 9th Street.
