The Arena on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre now has new blinds up – and the Chamber of Commerce recently met to say “thank you” to Commissioner Kimball Parker for the generous donation which made the purchase possible.

The thirteen blinds – which cost a total of $2,000 – have made a significant difference in keeping the glare out and will hopefully make a difference in the utility bills as well.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Thereas Hulgan said that everyone wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for Commissioner Parker for his support of Gadsden State Cherokee – and the county school system in general.

Hulgan also gave praise to Representative Richard Lindsey who was instrumental in bringing the campus to Centre, for his continued support, along with Commission Chairman Kirk Day for his support and leadership through the county commission.
