The Gadsden State Community College Coat Drive Continues

GSCC Electrical Technology students help director Karen Lee of the Etowah Baptist Mission Center load her car with some of the coats and jackets collected during the 2016/17 Coat Drive.

Community supporters, faculty, staff and students of Gadsden State Community College are encouraged to continue their support of area shelters, mission centers and GSCC students by donating new or mildly-used coats and jackets for children and adults.

The annual drive, sponsored by the Electrical Technology Department, began in November and thus far the group has collected more than 250 coats. The drive will continue through January 15th as the College resumes normal operations January 3rd.

Items may be dropped off at the East Broad Campus’ Electrical Technology Department building (Deb Reynolds) or ATN-Gadsden/Bevill Center (Angela Ross), at the Ayers Campus Electrical Technology Department (Tony Thrower), Valley Street Campus (Frances Hall), Maintenance Building/Wallace Drive Campus (Kathy Kendrick), Gadsden State Cherokee (Luanne Hayes) and the GSCC Bookstore on the Wallace Drive Campus.

For more information, contact Deb Reynolds at dreynolds@gadsdenstate.edu or (256) 549-8631/8643.
