According to Leesburg Police Chief Jamie Chatman, a Gadsden woman was arrested following a traffic stop on Wednesday night.
Chatman said that Leesburg Police were dispatched to Highway 411 near Hale Drive where a black Hyundai SUV had drove into oncoming traffic and was sitting in the median with hazard lights on.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 52 year old Tracy Christopher of Gadsden.
After performing a field sobriety test and being checked out by Floyd EMS it was determined Christopher was under the influence of Alcohol.
Christopher was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence and booked into Cherokee County Jail without Incident.
