Gadsden Woman Killed in Hit and Run Incident

Hicks Hit and Run VictimGadsden Police have confirmed, that a 55 year old Gadsden woman was the victim of a fatal hit and run occurring late Tuesday night, August 16th near the intersection of Halsey Street and Ewing Avenue.

The body of Lisa Hicks was discovered around 2:00 Wednesday morning; police believe she was struck and killed between 9:30 and 10:30 Tuesday night.

She had reportedly left the nearby home of her boyfriend around 9:30.

Authorities are searching for a black vehicle although they’re unsure if the vehicle was a car or a truck.  The vehicle most likely has extensive damage to the front end.

Investigators are seeking the assistance of the public in obtaining more information on that case; they’re also visiting body shops, and reviewing video from area businesses at the time the incident is believed to have taken place.
