Gang Member Already in Prison Now Facing Additional Charges

Scam MugshotFloyd County authorities have obtained a warrant on an individual already in custody – in a state prison facility.

That warrant charges Christopher Lee Hudgins with Theft by Deception and officials stated that additional charges are pending; those additional charges could include: Identity Fraud, Theft by Extortion, Financial Transaction Card Fraud and Criminal Street Gang Activity.

Hudgins, a native of Floyd County, is currently in Autry State Prison.

He is a known member of the street gang “Ghost Face Gangsters”, and he goes by the street name “Pale Face”.

In April of this year Rome area residents began receiving calls saying they had missed jury and a warrant had been issued for their arrest; however the caller then said the person had the option of paying a “fine” using a Green Dot card.

The caller even went so far as to identify himself as a Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.

It was soon discovered that the scam was being perpetrated not only in the southeast but across the nation as well; in May of this year two individuals at Autry State Prison had been charged with a similar offense.

The investigation into the matter is on-going.
