Gary Joseph “Joey” Roberts, age 72 of Centre, passed away Friday, February 19th at a Birmingham Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:PM Thursday, February 25th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Young and Rev. David Dale officiating; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:AM until 1:PM Thursday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Larry Lowe, Johnny Lowe, Tim Mackey, Dustin Taylor, Tony Mackey, Todd Hale.

Survivors include sisters, Melba Faye Dixon and Diane (David) Ingram; niece, Misty (Darrell) Mackey; nephew, Terry (Renee) Dixon; great niece, Emily Storey; great nephews, Taylen Dixon, Trenten Dixon, Jaxon Mackey.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Frank Roberts and a great nephew, Terren Dixon

Mr. Roberts was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late Frank Grady and Helen Marie Mackey Roberts and was of the Methodist faith.
