Gaylesville falls in close volleyball matches to Coosa Christian, Gadsden City

GADSDEN – Gaylesville lost a pair of close volleyball matches last Thursday. The Lady Trojans fell in four sets to area rival Coosa Christian 25-27, 21-25, 25-22 and 11-25, then dropped a 23-25, 21-25 decision to Gadsden City.

Natalie Baty led the Lady Trojans (1-3) with six kills, four aces and two digs. Chelsey Cagle contributed eight assists, three aces and two digs. Peyton Bright added four assists, three aces and a kill.

Delaney Coker managed three kills, two aces and a dig. Savanna Crane came away with four digs and an ace. Sidney Smith posted a kill and an ace. Andreah Calvert had two kills and Emma Givens finished with an ace.

Gaylesville hosts Gaston on Tuesday.
