Gaylesville Man Arrested on Drug and Burglary Charges

On Tuesday, Cherokee County investigators arrested a Gaylesville man in connection with a burglary that occurred over the weekend in the Cedar Bluff area. 

Investigator Tony Monroy charged Dustin Charles Watwood with Third Degree Burglary.

Sheriff’s Office investigators also located illegal drugs in Watwood’s possession, and he was additionally charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 2:00 that afternoon on the burglary and drug charges, as well as a parole violation.
